After a day tour trip in Baguio, filled with museum tour, food trippin, shopping and a whole lot of fun. Heading to SAGADA this time. I’ll share with you our experiences and notes to keep in mind on your travel!

We decided to check out the terminal schedule ahead of time to make sure we arrive on time, by 5PM the booth was already close and my friends just asked the earliest time to travel to Sagada from the nearby ticket booth. It says that the bus to SAGADA leave at 5:30AM and the next was 7:30AM.
Researched will tell you that it takes around 6 – 7 hours to travel to SAGADA coming from BAGUIO.
So the next day, we left our place by 4AM and head to GL Liner Terminal in Baguio Dangwa Terminal in Barangay Sto. Nino. Since we are in a private vehicle it was pretty much convenient on our end. But for some a cab going to the terminal is okay too. It would just take around 10 – 15 minutes travel time if you’re from the Victory Liner Terminal.
*Terminal is almost near SM Baguio and Session Road (we only walked from GL Terminal going to SM Baguio on our way home)
Around 4:30AM we were at the terminal already, there were people lined up already in front of the ticket booth, it was still close when we reach the area but we follow falling in line with our big bags.
*Note : we also have a lot of pasalubong from our Baguio Trip which keeps our bag heavier.
Still unsure if we’re waiting for the right spot, good thing there were canteens around the area should you opt to have a big breakfast. Buy a bottle of mineral water as well as it gets much expensive in SAGADA.
The bus arrived at 530am and since the ticket booth was still close everyone run all the way to the bus to make sure they grab a seat.
Early booking and reservation is not allowed in GL Terminal so basically it was a first come first serve basis. Which I think is okay too but really scary I guess. We wanted to make sure we ride the 1st trip going to Sagada since we already planned with our activities 😀
Once you boarded in the bus, make sure to reserve a seat for your friends as well!
Ticket cost P220 all the way to SAGADA.
It was pretty funny as well when you get to see plastic bags hanging on the bus. *for protection when you feel dizzy :p
Heres the schedule for the bus trip :
5:30AM; 7:30AM; 8:30AM; 9:30AM;10:30AM; 11:30AM and the last trip at 1PM
Note : best if you’ll arrive in Sagada to grab the earliest bus ride, if you’re coming from Manila take the midnight trip so you’ll have enough sleep as well.
Don’t be confused. The first trip isn’t posted actually over the board.That is why asking is always you’re number one tool once travelling.
And hooray when the bus started leaving Baguio 🙂 there were 3 stopovers for restroom break, and for you to grab a breakfast.
Going to SAGADA is one hell of a ride, for straight 6 hours the road was scary at some point, we were praying the entire time for our safety though :p
Going to Sagada in a not so nice weather state is definitely not a good idea, some roads were still under construction and it gets scary considering it’ll get all wet.
As it gets pretty scary along the way one couldn’t hide the feeling of excitement and great awe and wonder over the beautiful sites going to the Mt. Province.
Everything about it was so wonderful!!! That 6 hours ride most of the time I was sleeping, trying to get all the energy I could have for our activities. *plus to hide the feeling of being scared over the trip hahaha! But from time to time one wouldn’t hide the feeling of excitement in this far place at Mt. Province. Nature and Fresh Air! aaahhhh.. something we’ve been longing in Manila.

ON OUR WAY BACK HOME
Bus ride from SAGADA to BAGUIO is also limited to the following :
7:30AM , 8:30AM, 9:30AM, 10:30AM, 11:30AM and the last trip at 1:30PM.
Only 1 bus travel from these time schedule and it gets full easily due to the influx of tourists and from the people travelling back to Baguio.
I remember when we started waiting at the terminal by 11:00AM but the 11:30AM bus ride was full already and it left right away. We only lined up until 1PM making sure we get to ride the last bus ride for the day coz if not, we still have to stay for another day at SAGADA :p (and I can’t coz I still have work the next day). It is definitely advisable that the last trip from Sagada should be travelling by afternoon to make sure there is still sunlight and enough lighting to guide along the way.
Ticket Fare back to Baguio still cost P220 with same stop over places. Lunch and Meryenda were taken at the Bus.
It gets a little foggy and it started raining on our way home which is scary at some point.
