Inflatable Island, Zambales – What to expect and guide for a Day Tour

Inflatable Island : Asia’s Biggest Floating Playground available in Subic, Zambales.

Our imagination would tell us that jumping and running over this big inflatable ground is not just for kids but for kids at heart. I always imagined playing over Wipeout every time I get to watch it and the idea excites me to try it myself.

That urges me to check out this place. With an adventurous mind and body we headed to Inflatables Island.

On my blog, I’ll be sharing with you what you need to consider, and guide on how you could totally enjoy this place, see for yourself if it’s the right place for you too 😀

HOW TO BOOK FOR YOUR TICKET :

• Go to their website : http://www.theinflatableisland.com/  and click book your ticket
• You’ll get to choose which date and what time you are going and pay in advance thru Bank Transfer or Paypal (*whichever is convenient to you)

• You may do walk-in as well in the area, but you get additional discount when you booked online with P100 pesos off  *plus less the hassle

• In the counter, just show an email confirmation, bring your ID (*the one who booked the ticket) and a screenshot of the mode of payment — on my case I paid thru Bank Transfer BDO  (*easiest way :D)

Make sure to arrive just in time of your preferred schedule.

You may choose a 2 hour pass, 4 hour pass or whole day pass. I personally think that the 4-hour pass is just enough to stay in the floating playground. Besides, you may still stay in the area in as much as you want too. Just relax and keep enjoying the place.

The Samba Resort might confused you, but it is the same entrance for the inflatable island. Everything was still for construction and development when we get here, be keen also where you should drop by as there was no enough signage to recognize the place.

HOW TO GO TO INFLATABLE ISLAND :

By public transportation.

• From Manila: Head to Cubao (via LRT/MRT) and ride one of the buses that head to ‘Olongapo’ or you can also ride a bus that heads to Iba, Zambales and then ask the driver to drop you off at the address of Inflatable Island
• Once in Olongapo, ride a jeep and ask them to drop you off at Samba  Blue Water Resort

By private vehicle. (*use Waze — but don’t follow it thoroughly, we got lost for this)

• From Manila, head to NLEX (North Luzon Expressway) to SCTEX (Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway).
• Take the Subic Bay Freeport Zone exit, and then take a right to Rizal Highway.
• Take a left at Burgos Street (beside Remy Field) and go right to Canal Road. Keep following this road until you reach Dewey Avenue.
• Exit to Kalaklan Gate (way to Zambales). Turn left, and then keep straight for 2 to 3 minutes until you see the Samba Bluewater Resort (formerly Subic Halfmoon Beach) — and that’s it! You’ll find the Inflatable Island ticket stall and entrance inside.

*Parking is FREE but space is subject to availability

For you not to get lost, just follow the different steps as you enter the area.

Step 1 – Orientation Area, you get to sign a waiver and it discusses the rules inside the premises. Things to take note are the following :

• kids with 3ft height is allowed to play in this playground, provided you take good care of the kids
• Food and drinks are not allowed inside, and corkage might be paid (I suggest if you’ll be bringing a car, just leave everything there
• Cameras and Cellphone is allowed provided you use it at your own risk
• Action Cameras and Go Pro, selfie stick is only allowed at 1ft length (*for safety)
• for your attire, make sure you wear proper swimsuits, shorts with zipper is not allowed and any sharp objects or items (*I’m sure its obvious why 🙂 )

Step 2 — After the orientation, you may deposit your things and bags at the locker area. Rental fee for the big lockers is Php 100 (half day) and Php 150 (whole day). As for the small lockers, it’s Php 50 (half day) and ₱100 (whole day).

Step 3 —  After you are all settled, with your life jackets on. You may start the fun!!!

*Notes : 

• I suggest you wear the best attire to protect you from the striking sun
  • rush guards and shorts
  • apply SUNBLOCK!!! tons of it! (*I was 3 shades darker after this trip! )
• It may seemed easy at first, but once you start playing, DEFINITELY ONE OF THE HARDEST DAYS OF MY LIFE!! (*lol!)

And because I was wearing sunblock, super dulas sa Inflatable hahaha!

You get to enter here, you may start anywhere from the different activities the inflatable has to offer.

There was trampoline, giant slides, monkey bars and tarzan swing. You get to jump, slide and glide and bump your head, body and all parts of it!!!!

Another thing you have to consider SOBRANG ALAT NG TUBIG!!! you wouldn’t want to land in water and taste how salty this beach area is.

(I have tasted enough salt water, but this one is OA talaga — not kidding! hahaha!!)

And 4 hour pass was more than enough, you should do exercise and stretching first prior to playing coz it was really tiring to finish the entire playground.

WHERE TO EAT IN INFLATABLE ISLAND : 

• Since food is not allowed inside the island, you still have many choices inside the area.
• Food Stalls offering rice meal, sandwiches and pica-pica were all available.

However, brace yourself as it is definitely expensive as you thought it to be! A hotdog sandwich may range from P90 – P120 pesos.

After soaking in the Inflatable Island, you may still stay at the Bali Lounge to relax and grab a food and drink for you.

This area is very instagrammable and cute to have a photo-op.

Notes :

• As a whole, we enjoyed our stay in Inflatable Island, we initially thought that 4 hours might not be enough for us to enjoy but it was more than okay. Considering how strenuous the activity was!! It was really draining.
• AS mentioned, the water is too salty so brace yourself
• Wear proper attire, coz I’m telling you “ang lakas mag pagitim ng araw plus too much salt water” — I don’t think it’s the best place to make aura your 2 piece :p 
• Kids may love this, but the activities was more suitable for big kids — I guess.
• After this activity, you definitely need a massage! Whole Body massage!
• It was a great exercise, and such a challenging activity, team building may be okay on this. But they do not suggest you do a competition inside the site for safety.
• Always remember to wear a life vest, no matter how good you are to swim, there were certain areas in the floating island which is really deep already — so you never know.
• There were kuya’s and staff were all willing to assist you, if you needed help. So you also feel safe while you enjoy.
