WHERE TO EAT IN LA UNION? (DETAILED LIST, MENU AND OFFERINGS)

Thinking where to dine during your Elyu Trip? Check out this happy food finds all within San Juan.

A trip wouldn’t be complete without trying out the most sought resto places. Dining with your friends or travel buddies, and good thing that Elyu has so many food selections to choose from. So you and your buddies would never run out of choices depending on your cravings. All of this places were also very convenient to reach as you may just walk around or ride a tricycle for P10 per pax rate.

Here’s some of the resto I tried when I visited La Union, sharing my great finds food choices and resto ambiance that could be for you too!

COAST CALL KITCHEN & BAR

We opted to dine here for a sumptuous lunch after our 6 hours bus ride, who wouldn’t want to eat something so good after a long ride right? With its super refreshing ambiance a nice view to look at as you dine, food was awesome with selections and affordable food perfect for group meals.

Here’s the menu for all prices as reference.

Food was affordable and it was really good. We initially ordered the Salo Salo #1 Group Meal good for 3 – 4 pax already. It already includes Sinigang na hipon, Pakbet, Inihaw na Liempo, Lechon kawali, Rice and a Pitcher of Ice Tea.

SURF SHACK

Another favorite in Elyu is Surf Shack where they offer food, drinks, ice cream and grilled meat. They also have acoustic performers at night.

What we ordered was a pan of pizza, pasta and buffalo wings. All were good but we wish to have tried other offerings as well. This is also great for group of people rather than dining alone so you get to save and try more.

FLOTSAM AND JETSAM

F & J popularly known for its artsy fancy accommodation and bunk beds perfect for solo travelers or backpackers also offer a restaurant to look out for.

Breakfast for its guests is free here so you’ll get to enjoy its perfect ambiance anytime of the day. *Also read : Flotsam and Jetsam Hostel – An artsy place to stay in El Yu (La Union)

For non-guests the FJ Resto is open to everyone to enjoy with.

Here’s the ambiance at night, bean bags everywhere perfect for chill dinner sesh with your buddies, they offer cocktails and alcohol beverage as well.

Basically the resto vibe was colorful and has its Bali Inspired feels which makes it more adorable to stay at.

They offer Pizza, Pasta and Rice Meals. Price Ranges from P200 – P400 pesos. Tired from series of activities we had for the day we opt for the rice meals. These are all best sellers from the FJ Menu.

Make sure to try the Seared Tuna as it was soooo good!!!

THE COFFEE LIBRARY

When you literally can’t ignore the urge to have a coffee, Elyu also has options for that. The Coffee Library is go to place perfect for an afternoon break sesh. Not only do they offer different types of coffee the ambiance of the place is something you’ll look forward as well.

They have books on the second level should you wish to spend it with a good book. It is air conditioned and people peak its place after lunch time leaning towards dinner time.

Menu in The Coffee Library; they offer coffee, juices and tea and other beverage. Salads, Rice Meals, Pasta and sandwiches were all here as well.

We actually spend the entire afternoon here after check-out while waiting for our bus bound to Manila. They got free wi-fi and the place really felt like home.

EL UNION COFFEE

Different coffee choices, El Union is one of the favorite place as well here in Elyu. Laidback ambiance for a chillin’ day with your cold or hot coffee with you. Always check out the best-sellers of each resto and decide from there.

But I tell you to try its “Grilled Cheese” !!!! coz it tastes heaven :p *hahahaha!! it literally taste so so good! And I was literally wishing to get back to Elyu to order one again!

What they offer is actually very limited but that keeps it extra special as well as you get to dig in on the best finds.

*NOTES :

• As a whole, La Union has so many many food restaurants to look out for, I still have so many on my wish list but max that you eat thrice a day right? (*haha!) will be back for more discovery
• Price range of food usually starts at P180 – above, should you wish to try each of the famous resto in Elyu be ready to shell out on this as well
• all of the resto were my favorite, each has something to offer uniquely and something that would remain remarkable to you
• be it the ambiance of the resto, the vibe of the people, the menu and offering and the budget one has to shell out
